Knipprath Cellars 2008 Roussanne/Viognier (750 ML)

Knipprath Cellars is a family-owned winery located right here in Spokane, recognized for outstanding Port Wines, Cabernet Franc and Portugese blends.

Roussanne is known for its unique herbal aromatics and bracing acidity so blending with other grapes is most often what winemakers choose, in this case it is blended with Viognier. Both varieties have very similar characteristics and flavors of grapefruit, green tea and stone fruits. It pairs nicely with seafood dishes and white sauce pastas. It is also similar to Riesling in that it ages well, while undeniably tasty while new it can take on interesting bottle characteristics after several years.
