You all keep telling me that you want to know what to do with unusual veggies so here goes... I am giving you one purple kohlrabi in the produce box. Take this lovely purple orb and peel the outer skin off, slice into wedges, sit in the sun and eat raw. This is a yummy raw treat in salads or as a dip vegetable. Really fun to take to potlucks with a dip and have friends try to guess what it is. Recipe of the week Cachumer (Indian Salad) 1 pint Organic Honey Bunch Gold Cherry Tomatoes-sliced in half 1 cucumber 1/2 cup chopped green onions 1/2 cup thinly sliced daikon 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro 2 tablespoons lemon juice 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon very finely chopped chili dash of black pepper Toss all ingredients together and let sit for 1/2 hour before serving.
